8th EDCTP Forum | Zambia | 6-9.11.2016

 

The 8th Forum of the European and Developing Countries Clinical Trials Partnership (EDCTP) is a biennial forum which will be held this year in Lusaka (Zambia), on 6 – 9 November, on the theme “Defeating poverty-related and neglected in Africa: harnessing research for evidence-informed policies“.

This is one of the most important conferences on HIV / AIDS, tuberculosis, malaria and other infectious diseases that affect the African continent, and it is expected the participation of about 600 participants. Since its first edition, this forum has been marked by dialogue between the scientific community, policymakers, foundations, donors and promoters of global health in the field of clinical research, in particular, effective and affordable interventions against poverty-related diseases.

This Forum will also take stock of EDCTP1 program and the first data of the 2nd EDCTP program will be presented.

You can participate in this Forum in Lusaka by watching the various discussions and presentations or, more actively, by:

  • doing an oral presentation or presenting a scientific poster which should be submitted by 4 July;
  • holding a satellite event, for which expressions of interest must be sent until 15 August;
  • contributing to the promotion of a scientific symposium, ending the deadline for the submission of tenders on 30 September.
