Conference “Clinical Trials – Empowering Patients – An Informed Participation” | EUPATI Portugal, FFUL | 25.11.2016
With the aim of celebrating the constitution of the National Platform of the European Patients’ Academy on Therapeutic Innovation (EUPATI) in Portugal, a conference on the theme “Clinical Trials_ Empowering patients – an informed participation” will take place on 25 November in the auditorium of the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Lisbon.
EUPATI is a project launched in 2012 and funded by the Innovative Medicines Initiative, which is led by a consortium of 30 patient associations. Its main goal is to educate patients and the general public about the medicines’ research and development (R & D) processes.
In order to do so, national platforms have been set up in Germany, Austria, Belgium, Spain, France, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Malta, Poland, Switzerland and the United Kingdom, and they will be extended to Denmark, Slovakia, Greece, Hungary, Romania and Portugal .
