New Call for Reference Sites |European Innovation Partnership on Active and Healthy Ageing
If your region is leader on innovation for active and healthy ageing and you would like to see it as one of the European Innovation Partnership on Active and Healthy Ageing (EIP on AHA) Reference Sites, submit your application until the 15th of April.
The EIP on AHA has recently opened a new call for Reference Sites in the European Union (EU), that may contribute to improve the quality of life of the elderly, increasing the current 32 Reference Sites recognized by the EIP on AHA in the 2012 call, among which is Ageing@coimbra from Portugal’s central region.
The Reference Sites recognition aims at finding solutions, as well as replicating and disseminating the best practices on AHA in the EU.
Hence, Reference Sites on this domain are defined as «ecosystems which comprise different players, including regional and/or local authorities, cities, integrated hospitals/care organizations, industry organizations, SMEs and/or start-ups, research and innovation organizations, that jointly implement a comprehensive, innovation-based approach to active and healthy ageing, and can give evidence and concrete illustrations of the impact of such approaches on the ground».
There are several benefits on the European recognition of Reference Sites, such as the promotion of the that region and the adoption of a systematic approach. On the other hand, the resulting Reference Site network will allow the consolidation of partnerships, including the transnational share of good practice.
The pre-requisites for the recognition of a Reference Site involve the showcase of innovative care model/systems that can serve as illustrations of good practice to other regions and be replicated in other countries or regions, in line with the Monitoring and Assessment Framework for the EIP on Active and Healthy Ageing.
For more information, please check the call document, as well as the Reference Site Collaborate Network and submit your application here until the 15th of April.
